Tricia's oil paintings are an expression of her energy with
a style that’s bold and bright and flavored with an
Impressionist look. She uses palette knives to achieve her
highly textured strokes.
Recent awards for her paintings include The Director's Award
and The Hometown Bank Award - Midwest Gathering of the Artists
2004. The Carthage Chamber of Commerce "Artist of the
Year" award for 2003 and The Helen S. Boylan award
- Midwest Gathering of the Artists 2002.
Tricia a Joplin native, is a graduate of Southwest Missouri
State University in Springfield Missouri, with a Bachelor
of Fine Arts in Painting.
She
is the editorial graphic artist for The Joplin Globe and
has worked there for 25 years. Tricia is also the webmaster
for Spiva Center for
the Arts, Arts of
the Four States & Ozark
Artists Colony.
